Teri Martin

LCSW, EMDR-C

Teri Martin is a licensed psychotherapist, EMDR-certified clinician, and the CEO of Progressive Movement Inc., a behavioral health group practice committed to providing comprehensive, and high-quality client-centered mental health care.

She earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California (USC), where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, cultural competency, and systems-based care. 

 

With specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Teri supports individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. She also utilize evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and attachment-focused approaches to meet each client's needs. 

 

As both a clinician and executive leader, Teri brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to mental health care, along with a commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community impact. Under her leadership, Progressive Movement Inc. provides a safe and supportive space for healing, growth, and long-term wellness.

DEBORAH RODRIGUEZ

Hi, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 11 yrs of experience working in mental health. I have experience working with various populations and believe in helping to heal the whole person, by focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. I would love to be a part of your journey of managing stress, anxiety, depression, and/or processing trauma.

My specialties are depression, anxiety, and trauma. I've been trained in Trauma Resiliency Model and Community Resiliency Model which focus on the body’s response to trauma by using a set of 9 skills (6 wellness skills in the CRM model). These models allow for the body to complete a response and allowing for pleasant sensations to be experienced again.

Uchenna Orji, DNP is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals across the lifespan. With a strong clinical background in both nursing and psychiatry, he specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and ADHD.

 

Uchenna Orji, DNP integrates psychotherapy with psychopharmacological treatment to develop personalized care plans that support clients' emotional and psychological well-being. Known for his empathetic approach and commitment to reducing stigma around mental health, he partners closely with clients to empower them towards recovery and resilience. 

 

With 11 years of experience, Uchenna brings a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens to clinical practice. He is passionate about promoting access to quality mental health services and fostering strong therapeutic relationships that prioritize trust, respect, and collaboration.

CASSANDRA ALLEN

Hello, my name is Cassandra Allen I obtained my master’s degree in Psychology with the emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and I am licensed by the state of California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have experience with counseling families, children, couples and individual adults. I also have experience counseling sexually abused children, teens on probation and sexual offenders. Cassandra has been a clinician for approximately 10 years (with some breaks in between). I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business and economics and I have taught high school. I am a parent who engages in helping other parents when faced with parenting issues. I volunteer with the youth at my local church. I enjoy gardening and hiking when the weather allows as well as time at the beach with my family. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist.

Hello,

 My name is Penne` La Rue. I received a Bachelor’s degree in social work in 2010 at the University of California, Chico, CA. During that time I gained experience working with victims of domestic and sexual violence. I received my Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix, Sacramento, CA,. During this time I worked with children who were detained by the child welfare system as well as children who had experienced traumatic events in the lives. I also worked with clients who suffer with Schizophrenia as the lead clinician of a day program designed to provide therapy, recreation and medical support services.

I graduated in 2013 and received my California state license from the Board of Behavioral Sciences in 2014. I have since worked with Individuals, families, teens, and children to help them resolve issues that are affecting their lives in a negative way. I am an eclectic therapist and use many different types of therapies to help meet the needs of the client. My strengths are in child therapy and the treatment of clients with a traumatic life history. I am a nonjudgmental, easy going therapist who believes in meeting the client where they are.

Hello, my name is Lakesha Johnson. I am a compassionate and dedicated professional with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) and certification as a Community Health Worker (CHW). With a strong foundation in clinical social work and deep roots in community-based care, I specialize in providing holistic support to individuals and families navigating mental health challenges, healthcare access, and social service systems. 

 

My work focuses on bridging the gap between underserved populations and critical health and behavioral health resources, ensuring that clients receive not only therapeutic support, but also practical tools needed to thrive. I have experience in case management, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and care coordination. I am particularly skilled in working with culturally diverse and high-need communities. 

 

Whether through one-on-one support, group interventions, or community outreach, I bring empathy, cultural humility, and clinical insight to every interaction. I am passionate about empowering clients, reducing health disparities, and promoting overall wellness through integrated, client-centered care.
